AUDITION LOCATION
BYU Richards Building
Auditions will be held on the second floor (north end) of the BYU Richards Building. Enter through doors on north end (ground floor) and signs will direct you.

AUDITION DANCES
Dancers should be prepared to dance a Syllabus Cha Cha, and Waltz or Foxtrot. (International or American style). Those auditioning for the Youth category will also participate in a choreographic workshop as part of their audition in the morning. AUDITION PARTNER
Each participant is responsible to bring their own partner to audition with. Auditions go much better for the participant if they have a partner they have practiced with beforehand and are comfortable dancing with. Only those auditioning for the program need to pre-register. If you don't have a partner, arrive early to find someone to dance with you. We will have a faculty member in the warm up room if you need help finding someone.
AUDITION ATTIRE
Syllabus attire is required.
Girls: black skirt & black top, dance shoes
Boys: black pants, white dress shirt & black tie, dance shoes
BYU DRESS CODE
Just a quick reminder, while on BYU camps, please avoid clothing that is sleeveless, strapless, backless, revealing, or with slits above the knee. AUDITION RESULTS
Results will be posted at byuyouthdancesport.com on Wednesday, May 8th by 5:00 pm.
IF YOU ARE SELECTED AS A 2024-2025 TEAM MEMBER:
- You will need to formally accept your spot by Friday, May 10th by going to www.byuyouthdancesport.com and paying a $150 deposit that will go towards fall tuition.
- There will be a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING for the parents of those who are placed in the program on Tuesday, May 14th (times TBD). Dancers are also welcome to attend.
