"We have had three children participate in the BYU Dancesport Program. The experiences and lessons learned have been invaluable! Not only has each child developed their skills and abilities in dance, but they have learned many life lessons. They have learned that hard work pays off. How to work together in a team setting, and how being a positive contributor is key to success. They rub shoulders with wonderful coaches and great kids. These are just a few of the great things about this program. Most of all they LOVE it and so do I!"

“After a decade with the BYU Youth DanceSport program, I can stand up and unequivocally attest to its positive power in the lives of the 4 of our children involved. There are competitive programs out there, but my wife and I would never even consider having our kids dance with any program other than BYU. The coaches and administrators are not only inspiring teachers, they are inspiring people--role models for our children in every way.”

We love the BYU Youth Dancesport program. We appreciate the excellent level of dancing and instruction but more importantly we recognize the atmosphere that is unique to this organization. We believe the directors are not only skilled coaches but they exemplify the values that are the heart of BYU. We are grateful our daughter has the opportunity to learn more than just dancing. Through this program, she is instilled with the sense that she is a part of something greater than herself.

"The BYU Youth Dancesport Program is fantastic! Our girls' experiences with the program have not only strengthened their talents as dancers, but also provided opportunities to grow personally, and create lasting friendships. We, as a family, value the atmosphere in which they learn from seasoned professionals who truly care about each of them as individuals as well as the teams they are a part of, instilling in them that they each represent something bigger than themselves. We all also appreciate the timing of rehearsals which allows them to participate in their church activities, supporting their goals of someday touring the world as representatives of BYU and the church with their talents."

"Our experience with the BYU Youth Program has been phenomenal! Our four children have grown physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually under the tutelage of professional coaches and teachers. We have learned the importance of hard work, dedication, commitment, goal setting, being trustworthy to others and to ourselves and made lasting friendships with parents and team members along the way. We are stronger individually and as a family because of the caring and devoted teachers and coaches in the BYU youth program. Thank you!"

"As the father of four daughters, I wanted each of them to become involved in an activity and sport where they could develop talents in a positive and wholesome environment. The BYU Youth Dancesport Program has truly given my daughters so much more. Although I’m grateful for the dance training and technical instruction they received, they gained life skills that were even more valuable. They learned to work hard, to set and achieve goals, to work as a team, to show tolerance and kindness for others, to accept direction and feedback from coaches and directors, and developed a strong dedication to their dancing. Those lessons are valuable and I’m grateful for talented instructors who taught my daughters to be accomplished dancers and great people. I would highly recommend this program to any parent seeking a wholesome environment where their kids can be exposed to rigorous exercise, gain social and life skills, and develop confidence and talents.."

"Ballroom is a balance between different forms of dancing. You can choose to dance just as a couple or as a team. Both have been successful and both are important. Team has not only been a social sport, but one that teaches hard work, joy, and perfection. All my sons have made friends for life. Not only with kids their own age, but with the outstanding coaches. If you are going to spend time in a sport, try to train under the best. BYU was that as a team sport for our family!"
